From time to time we all consciously or unconsciously ignore the feelings behind what is being discussed. It is best to think before we speak (weather written or verbal) & consider the others' feelings.

This goes right back to the balancing act between feelings and content. Many of the conflicts arising out of communicating with others comes from unbalanced content and specifically, parallel listening.

Relationship building is not a competition; it should be viewed as a mutually beneficial union. What I have found is that many people are self-serving; they want what is in it for themselves.

Competition for the control of thinking in communication is the ultimate turn-off. Be selfless to build droves of long-lasting relations.

Have you ever wondered why people are not interested in what you say? Maybe you didn't say it to the right people. As an example, if you are searching for gold, then you should be digging in a place where gold has been found before.

It is not unreasonable to assume that what you are saying is the right thing to say, it just needs to be said to the ones that can benefit from it.

The last word: Silence

Silence is golden, be quiet and listen to the still-small inner voice that is inside of you. Spend at least a few minutes alone every day in (business mission statement) Study, Planning, Meditation, or Prayer.
