Business security or the lack of can surely frustrate your idea of starting a business online from the very beginning. Hopefully, you will live and learn after taking the wrong online pathway as I did. When I started working from home I had no online business tutor to hold my hand and didn't know that making money online was all about getting web site traffic.

I don't really remember anyone ever telling me that I must have antivirus software installed on my computer when connected to the Internet. But it was definitely a critical mistake for me to make. A little internet business education could have saved me from myself.

Most of us were just like kids in a candy store when we got our first Internet connections. So anxious to begin surfing the web, but not knowing that there were hidden dangers lurking to steal our joy when you least expect it. Internet viruses like Trojans, worms and even hackers.

Namely, not installing antivirus software on their computer. And worst of all, the remedy is about thirty dollars a year for the most unsophisticated packages.

I had no idea that there were so many unscrupulous individuals in the world. But it is better to be safe than sorry (don't find that out the hard way), take the antivirus pathway that is the safest and the least costly.

When I became infected, I had to actually ship my computer out of the state because I live in a rural state. My business pathways to success was severely curtailed.

 I lost most of my online business data, was essentially out of business for a very long time, more than a month. Is that what you want to happen to you? I assure you, you do not want that to ever happen.

It's kind of like winning a fifty million dollar lottery. You quickly deposit your winnings in several stock market investments and lose it all the next morning. That is how I felt when I became virus infected.

In a nutshell, learn and apply all the intimate details before you begin strolling down this particularly dangerous online business security pathway half-cocked. If in this virtual world and you don't know how something works, please ask someone that does. What you don't know can have serious consequences, ask me---I know.

When it comes to business education related to working from home web business security issues, web site traffic and business cash flow (making money online) should be the number one concern.  

Capitalism is the the private enterprise system that our great country is driven by. To get in the business game and earn money online risk-taking is fundamental. As a business owner to be successful involves reducing your business risks.

If you are building a web business and connected to the Internet antivirus software needs to be installed on your computer and updated regularly. This software is a yearly subscription to keep your computer virus free of malicious invaders. (Ref article)

Within this list of security issues, I would be seriously negligent if I did not mention system restore and computer firewall.

System restore is one of your computer's system tools that will allow you to undo some of your unfavorable problems you encounter. In essence it will return your computer back to an earlier time.

(Insure before the catastrophe)

Example:  One of the users of your computer inadvertently deleted a file you need. With system restore you can return your computer back to an earlier time and undo the deletion.

Your computer firewall is also very important. A firewall is software or hardware that checks information coming from the Internet or a network, then either blocks it or allows it to pass through to your computer, depending on your firewall settings.

A computer firewall can help prevent hackers or malicious software (such as worms) from gaining access to your computer through a network or the Internet. A firewall can also help stop your computer from sending malicious software to other computers.

Be alert and deter all new threatening concerns  to be safe in your online endeavors with online business security .
